started yesterday with a draw against Celtic. Colin Doyle began it and ex-st Pat’s keeper Conor O’malley impressed off the bench in the second half.

They were the only keepers in Glasgow, although Kieran O’hara and Ian Lawlor were also named in the initial 40-man squad. But O’neill was impressed with Supple TIPPERARY boss Michael Ryan watched his side flop in Limerick yesterday – then refused to give an assessment because of a self-imposed media ban.

Premier officials were left to explain that Ryan had decided not give interviews until the end of the team’s initial four-game schedule in the Munster Championship, which concludes on June 10 against Clare.

The six-point loss puts Tipp on the back foot as Cork, who had five points to spare over Clare at Pairc Ui Chaoimh, visit Semple Stadium next Sunday.
