ON WEDDING PLANS

KATHRYN Thomas has shelved her wedding plans to fiance Padraig Mcloughlin after they welcomed their first child.

The RTE star recently gave birth to baby Ellie and she said getting hitched is the furthest thing from her mind.

The happy couple got engaged in 2016 in Ballyfin, Co Laois, but they have put their impending nuptials on the long finger.

Kathyrn told the Irish Mirror: “I haven’t been thinking about [my wedding] at all. I am lucky to even dream about it.”

The Operation Transformation host left her baby girl for the first time to attend the IFTAS on Thursday night.

And she said she was in constant contact with the babysitter to make sure everything was OK and she knew where everything was.

Kathryn said on the night: “Ellie is great, she just spent her first night with the babysitter and I only scourged her 16 times in the taxi in.”

Commenting on the realities of motherhood she added: “It’s tiring and it’s hard, it’s all of those things.

“But it’s a different sort of tired and it’s a different sort of hard work. You’d do it all day, every day.

ADVENTURE

“She hasn’t changed our life, she’s just added to it. This is just the next part of the adventure.”

The Carlow presenter stunned in a gold and floral gown but insisted she hasn’t been working out since the arrival of Ellie.

Kathryn said: “I haven’t been exercising at all, that [her figure] is stress, worry and constant panic.”

The 39-year-old is gearing up for her first family holiday to visit her younger sister Linda in the US.

Kathyrn revealed: “We’ve booked a flight to LA at the end of the month. Myself and herself are going, then Padraig is going to come.

“We’re going to do a family holiday then afterwards.”

The star first revealed her pregnancy news on Instagram with a special nod to her precious pooches and told how the pair have been reacting to baby Ellie.

She said: “Poppy loves her, Peter is wondering what is happening here. Poppy is licking her feet, she’s one of the girls. Peter is like, ‘You’re not paying me any attention’.”

Known for her honest personality the RTE host said she can’t help giving too much away on social media which often gets her into hot water.

Kathryn added: “Some things I put on get me in trouble but I don’t really think about things, and whatever happens happens.”

I haven’t even been thinking about my wedding at all. I’m lucky to even dream about it KATHRYN THOMAS
