STEPHEN BRADLEY insists his Shamrock Rovers players have his back.

The Hoops boss is under renewed fire after Friday’s 5-2 capitulation to

Dundalk after taking an early lead at Tallaght Stadium.

Home fans chanted for his removal while a banner expressing the same sentiment was unfurled at full-time.

But Bradley said: “I get the anger, the frustration. I’m the manager. It’s going to come to me.

“But if anyone in the stadium can tell me those players are not playing for me or us, I’d disagree with them.

“I thought they were excellent. Yeah, we gave away terrible goals and we can’t do that against a team like them.

“But I have no worries about this team and what they can do. We need to win our next two games.” LIMERICK FC

The Hoops host bottom of the table Bray in Tallaght on Saturday but it’s a tricky game for a side lacking in confidence.

Bray beat Rovers earlier in the season and head into this one on the back of a fine win over St Pat’s on Friday.

But Bradley is adamant that sixth-placed Rovers are on the right path.

He continued: “I know where we were and where we want to go. Other people will have their opinions and judge it.

“I’m fully aware of where we’ve come from and where we’re going.”

Asked if the inconsistency was a mental issue for his players, Bradley said: “We weren’t inconsistent on Friday. We were very good, very good.

“We made some really bad mistakes defensively against good players, attacking ones, and if you do that you get punished. “It’s fine margins.”
