Dope gangs’ gear for kids

Glenda failed to get Xpose on gender

CHILDREN are growing organic veg – using cannabis-growing equipment seized by police.

The hydroponic gear including heat lamps and ducting tubes has been donated to schools.

Teachers are using it to show kids how to grow tomatoes as part of an educational programme in Devon and Cornwall.

Supt Craig Downham said: “This is a win-win situation – putting the equipment to good use and saving public money.” GLENDA Gilson has revealed she begged her obstetrician to tell her the sex of her baby but he told her she should wait.

The Xpose star is 17 weeks pregnant with her first child and her curiosity got the better of her after a few weeks.

Dubliner Glenda told the Irish Mirror: “On my first scan I was like, ‘What’s the sex?’ and the doctor was like, ‘This is your first scan chill out’.

“He told me you can’t find out yet, wait until you’re at least 20 weeks, then on the next time I went in I said what’s the sex and he said, ‘I thought I told you’.”

The 36-year-old is now in two minds as to whether to find out the sex of her tiny tot after a barrage of advice from seasoned mums.

She said: “I don’t know if I want to find out now. I was all for it, then I keep hearing it’s the last surprise you’ll ever have, so we’ll see.

“It’s great getting all the advice, because it’s a scary old time and you are entering an unknown world.”

The former model also opened up about being ill and that lack of energy which has plagued her since the start of her pregnancy.

She explained: “I’m really tired all the time and still have morning sickness.” Commenting on how it affected her durig a recent trip to the Cannes Film Festival, Glenda said: “I had a bag permanently to my face, we were delayed thank God so all my interviews were put off until the second day.

“I had a brilliant cameraman with me who kept saying, ‘If you’re sick in front of Jane Fonda I’ll just pretend I’m getting shots of the sky and stuff ’.

“I thought how can I do that? How can I get Jane Fonda to wait?

“It’s not like you can plan it, it’s like here it comes, you don’t have the luxury of having three minutes to get to the loo. “Everyone’s saying it’s a sign of a healthy pregnancy but I wonder if that’s an old wives’ tale but I’ll go with that one.” Glenda also told how her beloved schnauzer Yazz got an infection last week and spent two days in the vets.

Asked how her precious pooch will react to the new arrival in November, she added: “I am really nervous to be honest. The dog rules the house, the couch is hers, the bed is hers.

“We live in an open plan situation so it’s going to be tough.” With hubby Rob and dog Yazz
