TAYLOR Swift fans have been warned they will be removed from Croke Park if they start queuing up for her gigs before the gates open.

The pop star, 28, brings her Reputation tour to Dublin this Friday and Saturday.

Gardai and concert promoters MCD have said if fans arrive early “they will be turned away at restricted points around the stadium”.

In a statement yesterday, they added: “Queuing in streets around the stadium will cause disruption to local residents and we appeal to patrons to heed this advice and respect the community living in the vicinity of the stadium.” Gardai warned that no overnight, or early, queueing will be allowed as most of the seats are assigned.

It’s a mostly seated gig due to the production, with only one third of the grounds available for standing.

Around 136,000 Swifties are set to descend on Croke Park and the gigs are expected to bring in an estimated €60million across Insp Tony Gallagher encouraged concertgoers to take public transport where possible as there are no parking facilities available.

He told the Irish Mirror : “Our plans are well advanced for these two concerts at Croke Park at the weekend. Our advice to patrons is to arrive early to allow for your comfort and to allow for security checks that have to be carried out.

“Please use public transport. The stadium is well served by public transport in terms of train, Luas, bus.

“So please use those facilities. Don’t bring a bag greater than A5 at all. Post-event what we would say is be patient with the garda traffic plan and the crowd management plan.

“We would ask parents in particular not to converge on the stadium in their private vehicles because that would spoil everybody’s departure comfortably.

“We would say if you have to come in to collect young childublin. Croke Park workers get ready dren please also use public transport and arrange to collect them at those points where public transport is permitted.”

Event controller Eamon Fox advised fans to download EVNTZAPP which has all the relevant information.

He said there will also be free tag-a-kid safety wristbands available at all the customer care points both outside and inside the venue.

Meanwhile, it’s recommended to pack a mac as the glorious summer weather looks set to change this weekend.

Met Eireann has predicted widespread showers and cooler temperatures on Friday, while Saturday will be mostly dry and sunny but with light showers.
