Johnny Ward FORMER Fair City star Johnny Ward has revealed his female co-stars were freaked out when crazed fans created a fetish website dedicated to their feet.

The actor, who played kidnapper Ciaran Holloway, told how admirers would take pictures of the actresses to put up online.

The Love/hate star also said his ex co-star Caroline Harvey, who plays Farrah on the show, was asked to be part of a “foot catalogue”.

Johnny told the Irish Mirror: “A few of the women on Fair City, they found out there’s this fetish campaign about them.

“There’s a site up online about it. I thought that was pretty weird.

“It’s about three or four of the actors and lads go around taking pictures of their feet. It’s crazy.

“Caroline, who plays Farrah, someone sent her an email asking her would she be interested in being on some foot catalogue for something. I can talk about it because she put it up on Facebook and was like ‘What the f**k is this?’. It was about two years ago, it’s crazy.”

It’s been more than a year since Johnny’s Fair City departure, when his character Ciaran disappeared from Dun Laoghaire pier having held Katy captive for a year.

Now the screen star – along with actresses Michele Mcgrath and Roseanna Purcell, has been cast in Copper Face Jacks: The Musical, which will run in Dublin’s Olympia Theatre from July 5.

The new stage show, penned by Ross O’carroll Kelly creator Paul Howard, is inspired by the iconic Dublin nightclub of the same name, which Johnny admitted he’s a fan of.

He said: “It’s one of those places you don’t plan to go to, do you? It’s not one of those places where at 9pm you say, ‘Let’s go straight out to Coppers’. It’s great craic though.”

■ Tickets for Copper Face Jacks: The Musical are priced from €26 and are on sale now.
