that because I’m so scared. I have to take that as a sign and think ‘ok are you scared because it’s something you actually want to do?’ So instead of just taking your fears as a signal to just run away you have to think ‘why am I feeling this fear?’

You need to think ‘is it something I feel the need to do and is it something I can work through?’

Then there’s also a tool called the f**k it moment and the art of decision making which is about the empowering feeling that making a decision can do for you.

It’s that circling will I or won’t I feeling, but a lot of that fear and anxiety is wrapped up in indecision however when you make a decision to do something, you instill a sense of confidence within in you and take control of the situation.

We live in a world where everyone is encouraged to think positive and not indulge in any negativity or worries at all and sometimes that’s very unhelpful because your worries and fears are valid and if you’re feeling worried about something your mind needs reassuring.

So fear hacking is about going to that place where the worst case scenario might happen and being prepared and think what would I do if it all went tits up, when you do that you realise a lot of what you fear isn’t actually that bad.

You need to also be proud about what you’ve achieved and acknowledge when things go your way and don’t brush past it.

You need to celebrate the small victories in life.

Failure is a stepping stone on the way to success and you need to be comfortable with the idea of failure.
