IT DOESN’T MEAN ANY LEINS TO ME

ERIC LOWNDES insists Leinster still matters to the Dubs.

The Blues are gunning for an eighth straight provincial success this Sunday at Croke Park and have won 12 of the last 13 titles.

Despite that incredible run, St Peregrines ace Lowndes and his teammates are showing no signs of letting up.

“It’s a massive honour to get that opportunity,” he said. “We’re all from that province, we know what it represents and how hard it was for Dublin to get their hands on it for so many years.

“When I was growing up Dublin weren’t winning Leinster championships with any regularity. It was a massive celebration back then and still is for us.

“We’re all aware of the transitions in counties and how success doesn’t last forever, so we’re all driving it on.” umpires and also dismissed Reidy.

O’connor said: “We have to put together our case and we’ll present that case on Saturday and hopefully justice will be seen to prevail.”

Reidy is expected to get off and to be available but Seadna Morey remains a doubt for Clare for the Semple Stadium clash.

O’connor added: “It’s a dead leg. Seadna got a knee into the thigh, so basically we have got to monitor him on a daily basis between now and Sunday week.

“It will be (50-50).” Meanwhile Clare’s other joint manager, Donal Moloney, is also due to appear in front of the

CCCC.

Moloney could face a 12-week suspension as he is accused of minor physical interference of a linesman during Clare’s recent victory over Tipperary.
