Paul Mccartney SIR Paul Mccartney loves tuning in to Pointless and the Antiques Roadshow.
Macca admits he loves scrolling through the channels at home and is happy to sit watching new series.
The Beatles legend says that his interest in the gogglebox helped him discover Ed Sheeran – not through music but by his appearance on Hollyoaks.
Sir Paul, 76, said: “I’ll be flicking around and there’ll be a rugby match and I’ll be like, ah I’ll watch this.
“Or it’ll be Antiques Roadshow or be Pointless.
“One of these moments was Hollyoaks and there was this red-haired busker standing playing guitar. I thought, ‘He’s good’.”
Sir Paul is set to release a new solo album, Egypt Station, later this year. ANT Mcpartlin’s new love is claimed to have a thrown a party for his 10th wedding anniversary with wife Lisa – 18 months before dating him.
Anne-marie Corbett – who worked as the married couple’s PA for six years – is said to have organised the lavish 2016 event for the star and Lisa Armstrong, inviting their friends and family to
Portugal in celebration.
She also arranged entertainment, food and drinks for guests while, according to one source, watching as a then loved-up husband Ant paid tribute to his wife.
Now Lisa, 41, has told friends she feels betrayed by her former friend after she moved in with telly host Ant, 42, following their marriage breakdown.
One pal revealed: “Lisa is absolutely furious she let Anne-marie into their life, her home – and even allowed her to help them with such a special occasion celebrating their love. How things have changed. She is in bits.” Lisa had already Anne-marie on day out attacked Anne-marie on Twitter, telling Celebrity Big Brother star Nicola Mclean: “My friend and OUR PA who I let into OUR home.”
The couple’s lawyers are now discussing how to split their €70million fortune built up over 21 years.
It is claimed they no longer speak directly after a furious phone call just before his drink-driving car crash on March 18.
A friend said: “She and Ant no longer talk to each other, they have to put everything through their solicitors because every time they talk it becomes a row.”
Ant left Britain’s Got Talent make-up artist Lisa in September following rehab to battle drink and drug addiction. A month later, Anne-marie, also 42, ended her own marriage to Scott Corbett, the dad of their two daughters.
A pal of Ant said he and Anne-marie have only grown close this year and added organising the anniversary party was just part of her job at the time.
