LOVE ISLAND DANI: DAD’S MY No1 MAN
Contestants get in compromising positions Danny Dyer LOVE Island star Dani Dyer has said her love interest will have to take second place behind the main man in her life – her dad.
Jack Fincham finally plucked up the courage to ask the daughter of Eastender’s actor Danny Dyer to be his girlfriend in last night’s episode.
But in scenes off camera Dani, 22, admits Jack will never have top spot in her affections – as her dad will always win out.
In a touching moment in the beach hut Jack said he doesn’t want to just go out with barmaid Dani for six months – he wants their relationship to go the distance.
Jack confides in close friends Adam and Eyal that he wants to raise the subject of making Dani his girlfriend, whilst also expressing his doubts he doesn’t want this big step to jeopardise what they already have.
He tells them: “Basically I wanted to speak to you two because I’ll be honest with you, I really feel like I want Dani to be my girlfriend. I do.
“I just feel like I’ve got to that stage where I want to leave here with her. “But sometimes when you put a label on it, it can ruin things. That’s what I’m worried about.
“The next girl I want to be my girlfriend, I don’t want it to be for six months or a year. I’ve done all that now, it’s boring.
“The next person I want to go with, I want to make them happy and be with them so it’s a big decision.
“It’s so nerve wracking because where we’ve got something so good now.” Earlier Jack explained the depth of his feelings to Dani saying: “I really do feel like it’s the start of something with us two.”
“It’s weird how I’ve got to this stage where I’m even thinking about wanting to meet your mum and dad and making a good impression.
“You are their daughter and I want them to like me because I’ll be spending loads of time with you. So I want them to go, ‘He’s alright’.”
Dani replies: “I definitely think they’ll like you, there’s no reason to not like you, is there?”
But in the Beach Hut, Dani insisted her dad will always take first place over her relationship with Jack.
She says: “I hope my dad’s happy. Me and my dad, we’re still going to go for sushi and that because Jack doesn’t like that.
“My dad’s got my first place in my heart. And Jack can have the second.”
