Harris hails primary care centre boost
New aid to help parents broach sensitive subjects
Simon Harris HEALTH Minister Simon Harris opened Ireland’s 120th primary care centre yesterday.
Mr Harris cut the ribbon at the new facility in Celbridge, Co Kildare.
He said: “Primary care centres have a key role to play in delivering on our vision of a reformed health service and can deliver better care, closer to people’s homes in their local communities.
“I am pleased to see the very welcome expansion of services taking place within primary care.

A NEW resource to help parents talk to their children about relationships and sexuality has been launched.

parents are asking for support and advice on how to tackle the sensitive subjects.
Minister of State Catherine Byrne said she was delighted to launch the project, which has been developed by the HSE’S Sexual Health and Crisis Pregnancy Programme. She added: “It will enable parents to have guided conversations at home and to build a foundation for positive sexual health and wellbeing.”
