Super 8s group ties confirmed
THE GAA has confirmed the make-up of the groupings and fixtures for the last eight stage of the
All-ireland SFC.
With the destination of all four provincial titles now decided, Galway and Kerry will be in Group 1, where they’ll be joined by whoever comes through the round four qualifier ties involving Laois and Fermanagh.
Similarly, Group 2 contains Dublin and
Donegal and will be completed by the teams who win the round four qualifier ties involving Cork and Roscommon.
Effectively, Dublin will enjoy the advantage of having two games at Croke Park, while they’ll travel to play Cork or the team that beats in them in their other game.
The top two in each group progress to the semifinals while in the event of a tie involving two teams, the head-to-head will determine who progresses. Scoring difference will be used if the teams finished level or if there are more than two counties on equal points. ALL-IRELAND QUARTER-FINAL GROUP STAGE
