HOLIDAYMAK­ERS passed out as their plane was stuck for three hours on the runway of a Greek island in sweltering heat.

Thomas Cook passengers including babies, pregnant women and the elderly also threw up as air conditioni­ng failed and the temperatur­e on board reached around 40C.

Dan Chapman, 22, said: “It was very dangerous. It’s illegal to treat animals like this, let alone people.”

Kerry Shippey said: “Keeping people in a tin can in 40C heat so people are passing out and throwing up is taking things a little far, don’t you think?”

Diabetic Isabella Wright called the ordeal “horrific” and a “breach of human rights”. Others said the “sweatbox” was “hellish”.
