SACK ME OR BACK ME SAYS SAMPAOLI

ARGENTINA coach Jorge Sampaoli has challenged his bosses to sack him after resisting calls to resign following his team’s World Cup exit.

Sampaoli (above) is still at the squad’s training base outside Moscow more than three days after the South Americans were knocked out by France in a thrilling game that ended 4-3. The 58-year-old was undermined by a dressing-room revolt following a 1-1 draw with Iceland and a 3-0 defeat by Croatia.

But after quitting Spanish side Sevilla just over a year ago to take up the offer of a five-year contract with his country, he is unwilling to walk away from the job without a significant pay-off.
