OAP killed in slurry pit fall
A MAN in his 70s has died after falling into a slurry pit on a farm.
The tragedy occurred near Threemilehouse in Co Monaghan yesterday afternoon.
A Garda spokesman said: “The man fell into a slurry pit shortly after 3pm. He was pulled out a short time later but was pronounced dead at the scene.”
The Health and Safety Authority have been notified and an investigation is under way.
