Arrest over NY statue protest

A WOMAN who climbed up the Statue of Liberty is in detention.

Tourists were evacuated from New York Harbour during a three-hour stand-off involving police.

The woman was named as Therese Okoumou, 44, from the Democratic Republic of Congo.
