‘Drunk’ Irish flyer arrested over smoking

A “DRUNK” Irishman was arrested after being caught smoking in an aeroplane toilet.

The traveller, believed to be in his late 20s, was detained at Tromso airport in Norway on Wednesday shortly before 11pm.

Officers told a local paper he appeared to be drunk when he arrived on the flight from Oslo.

He was taken to a hotel and can expect a fine.

Meanwhile, five people were allegedly thrown off a Delta flight in the US state of Indiana.

The episode involved a row between a passenger and a stewardess over a mobile phone. The airline is “reviewing the incident”.
