Top class gigs that will really get you in the groove to let your hair down and enjoy A stunning weekend of music to suit all tastes

Kraftwerk, Queen and king of pop Bruno Mars are just some of the big names playing huge gigs in Ireland this coming week.

Festival season is also in full swing and this weekend it’s Wicklow’s Groove Festival, featuring headliners Fun Lovin’ Criminals and Heather Small of M People, along with other notable acts such as Hamsandwic­h, Something Happens, The Stunning, Jerry Fish, Kíla, The Riptide Movement and Bitch Falcon.

Kicking off tomorrow in Killrudder­y House and Gardens in Bray with fun for all the family, tickets are still available from €11 – family weekend tickets (2 adults and 3 children) €225.

Alt rock veterans Eels return to Dublin tonight for a show at the Iveagh Gardens in support of their 12th album, The Deconstruc­tion, released last April. Tickets priced €45.

Tomorrow night sees The The perform on the same stage. Tickets to see Matt Johnson and one of the most brilliantl­y original bands of the 1980s and 1990s are €55.50.

Meanwhile across town,

Canadian crooner Michael Buble will be hitting up the capital playing a monster show in Croke Park with Emeli Sande supporting.

There are still a range of tickets available with prices starting from €89.50.

The Boomtown Rats and The Darkness are the supporting acts for the Queen and Adam Lambert gig in Dublin’s Marlay Park on Sunday as part of Queen’s “One more around the block” tour.

Lambert has been performing as Queen’s lead vocalist since 2011, having first performed We are the Champions as a contestant on the 2009 finale of American Idol alongside active original Queen members, Brian May and Roger Taylor.

Ticket prices start from €79.50. Gates will open at 5.30pm and gardai told this week that early queuing will not be allowed at the venue.

On Tuesday, Merrill Garbus’ project Tune-yards are set to play a headling show at the Tivoli Theatre in support of I Can Feel You Creep Into My Private Life, the band’s fourth full-length release. Tickets €24.

Meanwhile, German electro pioneers bring their stunning 3-D show to Cork’s Live at the Marquee on Wednesday July 11.

Just over a year since their Dublin show at the Bord Gais Energy Theatre, The Robots hitmakers return to Cork for their only Irish date in 2018. Tickets from €76.

Grammy Award winner Bruno Mars brings his 24K Magic World Tour to Ireland next Thursday for an outdoor show at Dublin’s Marlay Park.

Iconic disco act Sister Sledge and US funk-rock band and ‘Cake By the Ocean’ hitmakers DNCE, led by former Jonas Brother, Joe Jonas, are the support act for the Hawaiian pop sensation’s show.

Bring your dancing shoes for this show which kicks off with Debbie and Kim belting out their massive hits including Frankie, We Are Family, Lost in Music and He’s The Greatest Dancer.

Gates open at 17.30 with performanc­es scheduled for soon after. Tickets from €79.50 availble at Ticketmast­er.
