It’s all really depends on the venue. If it’s a club gig you want to play the upbeat songs that people will recognise but again this depends on the crowd too.

The Beat: What are your favourite things to play?

Izzy:

I love all types of music but if I’m djing anything a little housey and upbeat is my favourite to play.

The Beat: What are you listening to at the moment?

Izzy:

Everything! Part of my job at REDFM and as a DJ is to constantly listen to new music.

The Beat: What Irish acts do you rate?

Izzy:

Fish Go Deep, Talos, Mind Riot, Brian Deady, Stephanie Rainy, John Gibbons, Mark Mccabe, Konmak X Marty – the list is endless. We really have so much talented musicians in this country.
