HAYLEY:
I cringe when I see myself on Love Island
AXED Love Island star Hayley Hughes has revealed she “cringed” when she watched her scenes on the TV show.
The 22-year-old Liverpudlian, who was dumped from the villa last month with Charlie Frederick, confessed she had to switch the TV off after just a couple of episodes because she couldn’t look at herself on the reality show.
Hayley told the Irish Mirror: “I watched the first couple of episodes but that was it. I couldn’t do it to myself. You can’t help but cringe when you watch yourself back.”
The model, who jetted into Dublin yesterday to open the new Virgin Media store in Swords’ Pavilions Shopping Centre, caused a stir in the villa when she admitted she didn’t know about Brexit.
The blonde insists she has since learned a lot about Britain’s political situation.
She said: “I don’t think many 22-year-olds have an understanding about Brexit to be fair.
ACTING
“I’m actually glad that topic came up with the girls because they did educate me and since the villa I’ve shown a lot more interest in it and I’m finding it interesting getting to learn about it now.”
Now she’s left the show, Hayley has her eye on a move into acting.
She added: “I’ve been doing lots of modelling and TV work but I want to push myself into my acting career.
“I did drama classes before I went into the villa so I want to do more television. I really want to push myself to be the best I can be.”
While she’s still on the look-out for love, the model insisted she’s happy to focus on her career for the time being.
She said: “I’ve been speaking to people but it’s just finding the time to go on dates and stuff.”
And she wouldn’t rule out re-entering the Love Island villa to find “the one”.
Hayley added: “If there was someone for me I knew I’d have something with I’d allow myself to go back in.”
