RTE move hits a wrong note

THERE is concern over the decision to move control of the RTE National Symphony Orchestra from the broadcaster to the National Concert Hall.

The Musicians Union of Ireland said it was disappointed with the change.

Organiser Graham Macken, said: “It was made without prior consultation with the main stake holder in the RTENSO, that is the union which represents the members of the orchestra.”
