Soffia Eds for glory

EDDIE LYNAM, above, excels with sprinters at all levels. And in Soffia he has another progressive three-year-old capable of completing a hat-trick in the six-furlong Irish Stallion Farms Fillies handicap in Naas today.

This daughter of Kyllachy won her maiden at the Curragh early last month and, on her recent handicap debut at Down Royal swooped late to deny Abstraction.

Soffia received a 4lb hike but, open to further improvement, she might prove herself a step ahead of the assessor here.

And, in the apprentice handicap, another sprint, the Johnny Murtaghtrained Shore Step, an all-the-way winner at the Curragh last weekend, might complete a hat-trick, at the expense of Rattling Jewel.
