Boom time for Johnny

IN tomorrow’s handicap action in Fairyhouse, I like Baba Boom, from the in-form yard of Johnny Murtagh, in the Toals.com Bookmakers 3-Y-0 Handicap.

Beaten by Smiling Eliza at Navan (and 3lb worse off with that rival here), Baba Boom improved when stepped-up in trip at Limerick last time, beating Dasmyhoss convincingly.

Now 10lb higher, but facing his peers, Baba Boom looks progressive, will relish this mile and a half and, with Toss Coakley again in the saddle, should prove a tough nut to crack, with Gavin Cromwell’s top-weight Lady Camelot, fifth to Kalaxana in the Ulster Oaks last time, possibly the biggest threat.
