OUR VERDICT

- VERDICT: Tyrone

ON paper, Tyrone shouldn’t have any problems in Portlaoise.

They are Division One regulars, while Cork haven’t been able to get out of Division Two for the past two seasons – and have just copped a 17-point hammering from Munster rivals Kerry.

But Cork are a bogey team for Tyrone, who lost both previous tussles against them in the 1973 and 2009 All-ireland semi-finals, and present the Red Hands with a challenge they invariably struggle with.

It won’t be pretty and could be very tight on a night when everything is at stake.
