Assault rap teen back in court over bail breach
Cora Campbell A TEENAGER charged with a notorious assault has been accused of breaching bail.
Cora Mary Linda Campbell, 18, is charged with unlawfully and maliciously causing grievous bodily harm upon a 16-year-old girl, in Bangor, Co Down, in April.
A police officer told Newtownards Magistrates Court they received a report around 10pm on Thursday that Campbell was involved in an incident with a hospital worker during her curfew hours, while under the influence of drugs.
The officer said the accused had breached her bail by being outside her bail address during curfew, consuming drugs, and having a mobile phone.
The officer objected to bail, stating she had breached condition last month by possessing a phone.
Campbell was tagged and ordered to abide by a 7pm to 7am curfew, and sign with police three times a week.
Defence counsel added her mother attended court and would offer her home in Newcastle, Co Down, as a new bail address.
After Judge Mark Hamill granted bail, Campbell said: “You will not see my face again.”
The case was adjourned to July 27.
