Get message on road horror

-

SITTING close by as you read this could be one of the 78 more people expected to die on our roads in the coming months.

The Road Safety Authority and An Garda Siochana have published a review of road fatalities in the first half of 2018.

If the current trend continues, the RSA has said, 78 people could die before the end of 2018 as we continue to use our roads in a reckless manner.

Gardai cannot be everywhere and the RSA campaigns must get the message across.

Enforcement can have little meaningful impact if we as road users, drivers, pedestrians and cyclists alike, do not first change our habits.
