Death driver ‘used mobile’
Liam Rosney A DRIVER who killed the mum of Olympic cyclist Chris Boardman was on his mobile seconds before the crash, a court heard.
Liam Rosney, 32, denies causing the death of Carol Boardman by dangerous driving and perverting the course of justice.
John Philpotts, prosecuting, said: “He was distracted by his mobile.”
Carol, 75, was hit in Connah’s Quay, North Wales. The Mold crown court trial continues.
