Sam signs for Whites

-

DUNDALK have signed striker Sam Byrne on a permanent deal after releasing Marco Tagbajumi.

Byrne has only featured twice in the Premier Division since joining the leaders on loan from Everton in February.

But yesterday the Lilywhites snapped him up on a deal that runs until the end of the 2019 season following his release from Goodison Park.

Kildare man Byrne, 22, said: “I’m very happy to stay and now I just want to get my head down and keep working hard. The plan is to get myself a few more minutes on the pitch.”

Tagbajumi, 30, joined from Norwegian club Strømsgodset at the start of the season and scored three goals in 20 games.
