Festival’s an excuse to run into bother

-

THREE men were taken to hospital yesterday after the fifth day of bull runs in Pamplona.

Two suffered bruises to their arms and a third had a facial injury.

The 400-year-old festival, held every July in honour of the Spanish city’s patron saint, San Fermin, attracts thousands of tourists.

“Mozos”, or runners, try to avoid the bulls racing along a 930-yard course to Pamplona’s bullring. One person has been gored so far this year.
