Cat in Brexit as his owners leave the UK
A CAT “refused” to leave the UK and bolted out of his owner’s car on reaching the Eurotunnel entrance.
Alex Rudkin, 58, and partner Michelle Campbell, 51, were heading to France to start a new life.
After an eight-hour trip from Hebden Bridge, West Yorks, they stopped at Folkestone, Kent, to feed their black moggy Monty.
But he then slipped his harness and fled.
Alex, an artist, said they searched for hours after his escape on June 29.
But they reluctantly had to head on without him.
Alex added: “Monty could be in the Eurotunnel departure area, or could have travelled miles. We’re always thinking of him.”
