SILVA AIMS TO MAKE A MINA DEAL
EVERTON are trying to push through a £21million deal for Barcelona defender Yerry Mina.
The Colombia star, 23, played and scored against England at the World Cup, but is not a guaranteed starter at the Nou Camp club, where he played just six times last season – which is why Everton believe they can get a deal done. New Toffees boss Marco Silva is trying to strengthen his defence and made an enquiry last week. Everton have gone back in an attempt to thrash out a deal for Mina (above), who won many new admirers in Russia after becoming the first defender to score in his first three World Cup games.
