FEKIR STILL FANCIES MOVE TO REDS
NABIL FEKIR has made it clear to Lyon’s owner he still wants a move to Liverpool.
Mirror Sport understands the France star, set to play in Sunday’s World Cup final, has reached an agreement that Jean-michel Aulas will at least reopen talks with Anfield to explore the prospect of resurrecting his “dream” move.
Fekir, 24, has met the Lyon owner twice at this World Cup, the latest after Les Bleus’ semifinal victory over Belgium when Aulas went into their dressing room to celebrate.
Aulas has held talks with the midfielder and his advisor Jeanpierre Bernes to discuss the collapsed move, which faltered on medical grounds after a £53million deal had been agreed. Liverpool will not return to the table unless the terms of the deal originally agreed are restructured.
The Reds have concerns over knee surgery Fekir (right) had, which they believe could cause longer-term problems.
