GARDAI STOP NAKED HITMAN AT BORDER..

- BY NIALL O’CONNOR

A Semi-naked hitman was stopped by gardai as he made a break for the border.

The suspect was apprehended in the past week after being spotted speeding towards the North wearing only his underpants.

It came as officers were on high alert after a man was injured in a shooting at a halting site in Drogheda, Co Louth.

A source said: “This man is well known to gardai and has previously been a suspect in a number of shootings.

“He is operating as a gun for hire, is out of control and anything.”

The hitman, a heavy user of crystal meth, is suspected to have been involved in a shooting at Priorswood in Coolock, North Dublin, which was linked to an ongoing gang feud.

A gunman is believed to have gone into a house linked to a well-known gangland figure. He blasted a dog in the is liable to do garden, entered the property and fired shots at a grandmother.

The source added: “That feud is understood to have kicked off as a gangland figure known as Mr Big was involved with this gunman’s former girlfriend.

“The crazed gunman is also a suspect for the murder of Kenneth Finn. The problem is the meth head is now hiring himself out and is suspected, through connections, of being hired to carry out a shooting at a halting site in Drogheda.

“Since the shooting of Finn he is staying in the North but is travelling back regularly.”

It is understood Finn had close links with Mr Big, who runs a gang of tiger kidnappers, armed robbers and drug dealers. Garda officer
