STRANGE EXPERIENCES

-

From rearing chickens and a goat called Yoghurt to running a pub, the women find themselves all in a fluster on their Greek odyssey.

In one astonishing scene, Annabel, Nancy, Melinda, Ingrid and Ninia end up at a rather intimate meditation retreat on an island known for serenity.

“I’m quite uptight and

I’ve got ADHD and need something to calm me down, otherwise one day I think my head will spin off my shoulders,” says Annabel.

The teacher wants to help them rediscover their sexuality. “What are your wishes?” she whispers. “Imagine this energy as a snake, it’s waking up and climbing up in the bottom of the body. Open, close your beautiful vaginas. Be conscious of it and shake it.”

Ninia laughs: “I knew it was going to be spiritual but I didn’t think I’d ever shake my vagina.” In another moment, Lizzie, Ingrid and Melinda – whose dream is to live off the land – attempt to catch some feisty chickens to bring back to the villa.

And they talk to local matchmaker George in a series of bizarre interviews. Nancy tells him: “The most important thing is to be able to enjoy the same interests.

“If he has a helicopter or private plane even better. I am joking, but I’m serious at the same time.”

Lizzie nabs a date with Greek teacher Yannis, while Sian flirts with local hike guide Chris.

Later in the series, the women run a taverna, shear sheep, and Annabel and Lizzie teach Aggie how to walk like a model.
