Pep admits that he may become ‘tired’ of being boss of champions City

PEP GUARDIOLA admits he could eventually become “tired” at Manchester City.

Guardiola signed a new three-year deal in the summer, which would keep him at the Etihad longer than he has managed any other club.

But the Catalan walked away from his beloved Barcelona in 2012 because he grew tired, and says he would speak to the City board if he was worried about losing his mojo again.

“Football trainers, always we are in a dangerous position,” said the 47-yearold Blues boss.

“But the family is happy living in Manchester, my experiences of the Premier League are good. I have a

young team and I am comfortable working with them.

“But football, when you feel you are tired and the players don’t follow you, even if I have the contract, I will speak with the people about it and we are going to find a solution.

“But I’ll do my best to stay this time together.” Guardiola claims his continued reign at the Etihad is also dependent on him winning more trophies.

“When we decided to extend the contract, first of all I am comfortable and second, the club trust what we are doing,” he said. “Khaldoon Al Mubarak, Txiki Begiristain and Ferran Soriano know it depends on results.

“We have three more years, but results will dictate what happens in future. “The most important thing is to arrive in April and May, and be there for the title.”

Guardiola also confirmed that City are not pursuing Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanic (left).

When asked about the Bosnia-herzegovina international, 28, Guardiola added: “No. Pjanic is a player at Juventus. He is a top player, but we are not interested in him.”
