AT least 82 people were killed when a huge earthquake rocked holiday islands in Indonesia yesterday.

The 7.0-magnitude tremor, which also injured 50, hit central island Lombok and caused widespread power cuts.

Take That star Gary Barlow was among terrified tourists affected by the shock on neighbouring Bali.

A tsunami warning was issued but lifted several hours later.

The extent of the damage on Lombok was unclear in the aftermath.

But images from Bali showed parts of a car park buried by rubble, while others showed deep cracks in buildings.

Hannah Small, a tourist in Bali, said: “We are saying in Ubud, our whole hotel was shaking and parts of the ceiling and walls were falling down.”

Kate Dunlop, also in Ubud, told of a scramble into the streets for fear of buildings collapsing.

She said: “It was scary seeing everyone flee like that. In the street, we could still feel the earth trembling.”

The quake hit Lombok, about 25 miles east of Bali, at 7.45pm local time. Just a week ago, the island was rocked by a 6.4-magnitude quake that killed 14.

Those killed by the latest quake included a one-year-old child and a 72-year-old, according to search and rescue spokesman Agus Take That star Gary relaxing on Bali break

I very calmly walked outside clutching baby saying ‘I’m naked. I’m naked. I’m naked’. Like a naked zombie.”

British couple Cally Charles and Ashley Knight, who got engaged on the beach at Jimbaran in Bali moments before the earthquake, described the panic at their hotel.

Cally, 23, from Devon, said: “The lift was shaking! We got to the top level of our hotel (rooftop bar) people were holding on to tables and chairs. We ran down the stairs to the lobby where loads of people were stood outside. It was the scariest moment of my life.”
