WAGNER’S REVVING UP THE BUS FOR TERRIERS TRIP

- BY DAVID ANDERSON

DAVID WAGNER claims Huddersfield should not be criticised if they park the bus at Manchester City tomorrow.

Wagner says he will use the best approach for the Terriers and will make no apology if he sets his team up to defend deep at the Etihad.

“Everyone knows what we are capable of and what we are not capable of,” said the Town boss.

“How different teams and different managers collect their points, I think nobody should care. This is the same for us and if it means we collect points if we park the bus, come on, let’s do it.

“But if we have to do it in a different manner, then we do it in a different manner.

“I don’t think there is one truth in football. The most important thing is to find the best solution for your team for the match in front of you.”

Town have been competitive in three of their four meetings over the last two seasons, earning two draws, and the German (right) said: “It’s not naive for us to play like them, but it’s unrealistic.

“We respect them very much. They deserve it, but we like to cause them problems. This was the case when we met them last time.

“We have seen before it’s possible to get a result in these games. It’s not something you can take for granted, but it is possible and we will fight for it.

“The most important thing is that we show we are brave and that we fight and work our socks off.”
