BORDER CHAOS LOOMS IN ‘FARCICAL’ NO-DEAL BREXIT

BREXIT confusion reigned last night after businesses in the North were urged to talk to the Irish Government in the event of a no-deal.

The advice came from UK minister Dominic Raab as he delivered 25 official advisory notes.

However, in Dublin a Department of Foreign Affairs said: “The Government of Ireland has always been clear the outcome it is seeking from the EU-UK negotiatio­ns must include the protection of the Good Friday Agreement and the avoidance of any hard border on the island of Ireland.

“Our priority is that work continues on the conclusion of the Withdrawal Agreement, including the Protocol on Ireland and Northern Ireland which encompasse­s the backstop for the border.
