John Mccain died aged 81 BITTER Donald Trump vetoed a White House statement praising late Senator John Mccain instead choosing to offer “sympathies” for his family.

The decision was labelled “atrocious” by one of the US President’s former legal team following the Arizona politician’s death.

Reports in the US claimed Mr Trump did not want to send out a message that called the man who fought in the Vietnam war a “hero”.

Throughout the last few years of Mr Mccain’s life, the President had constantly attacked the former prisoner of war who refused to bow down.

Their feud dated back to when the billionaire announced he was running for president and called Mexican immigrants “rapists” and drug runners host attacked Mr Mccain’s military record and criticised the war hero for getting captured during the Vietnam War.

He said: “He’s a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren’t captured.”

Press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Chief of Staff John Kelly and other officials had edited a draft created before Mr Mccain passed away paying tribute to his service.

But Mr Trump is alleged to have blocked its release opting to make no direct tribute to Mr Mccain himself.

Mr Trump fired back by calling Mr Mccain “incompetent” a month later during a July 2015 rally at the Phoenix Convention Center.

Their clash intensified when the former Apprentice A GORGEOUS dog has been reunited with her owner thanks to the power of social media – and the Luas.

Mishka the husky went missing from her home in Clondalkin, West Dublin, after slipping out of her collar while out for a walk in Neilstown on Friday morning.

Her distraught owner Darragh Ward then tweeted out an SOS asking for help to find the striking canine, who’s snow-white and has different coloured eyes.

Clondalkin Animal Aid and My Lovely Horse Rescue were quick to jump to Darragh’s aid, both sharing photos of Mishka and asking their “amazing followers” to spread the word.

And not long afterwards Luas tweeted out a photo of Mishka, saying that she’d been found at the Red Cow tram depot.

Due to the power of social media, Darragh didn’t have to wait too long to get the happy news that Mishka had been found.

He said: “She’s back home safe and sound. I put the status up saying that she had gone missing and it got 350 shares.

“They got almost 400 retweets on their page too so it was only a matter of time before people started to connect the two statuses.”
