- DAVE ARMITAGE

ICESTER’S Kasper hmeichel sympathised th blunder keeper Alisson. The Foxes No.1 watched on m the other end as his posite number got himself a right pickle.

Schmeichel said: “Of urse you feel for him. He’s en fantastic in their first ree games.

“I don’t know Liverpool’s yle exactly but I think they courage the keeper to take ances to keep possession, e Ederson does for nchester City.

“When you do that you ve to accept mistakes are metimes made, just as with outfield players. The only difference with goalkeepers is when you do make an error nine-and-a-half times out of 10 it gets punished.

“I do feel for him but you could see afterwards he didn’t take any chances again.”

Schmeichel (above) signed a new five-year deal this week and hopes England World Cup star and Foxes team-mate Harry Maguire is ready to do the same.

He added: “I hope Harry signs but I don’t want to put pressure on anyone. But if he feels it’s something he wants to do then obviously we would be delighted.”
