Irish Xmas gigs to end europe tour

HOZIER has announced five concert dates around the country in the run-up to Christmas.

The 28-year-old singer revealed the gigs will take place later this year as part of his wider European tour which kicks off in November.

The Take Me To Church singer – real name Andrew Hozier-byrne – and his band will take to the stage for three nights from December 15 at Dublin’s Olympia Theatre.

They will then make their way to Belfast’s Ulster Hall on December 19 before performing one final night at the INEC in Killarney on December 20.

Before taking to the stage in Dublin, the singer, from Bray, Co Wicklow, will kick off the tour at Coliseum in Lisbon, Portugal, on November 11.

He will perform at venues all around Europe, including a four-night stop in Britain before heading home for the final five shows in Ireland.

The new tour comes in conjunctio­n with the anticipate­d release of his new album Nina Cried Power. The celebrated EP is the follow-up to his debut album, Hozier, which was released in 2014.

■ Tickets for the new tour will go on sale at 9am on Ticketmast­er and will be limited to four per person. Dublin and Killarney dates are priced from €34.50 including booking fee and restoratio­n levy. Tickets for Belfast start at €33.78 including booking fee.
