Kate & Gerry Mccann GERRY Mccann is to speak of his heartache over his daughter Madeleine’s disappearance for the first time.
The 50-year-old will take part in a one-off radio show to raise awareness about mental health.
Gerry has not publicly spoken in detail about his pain since Madeleine, three, vanished in Praia da Luz, Portugal, in 2007.
Madeleine’s mum Kate, 50, has discussed her torment at length. But Gerry’s appearance on BBC Radio 4 show Pearl: Two Fathers, Two Daughters, will be the first time he has opened up.
He explained: “I decided it was a good opportunity to say something about the special bond between fathers and daughters, thinking that speaking openly might help other men in similar positions.
