Raise a roast to winners of best carvery

THE best places to enjoy a roast dinner in Ireland have been revealed.

The Knorr Great Carvery of the Year competition unveiled its winners yesterday morning.

And the tastiest meals can be enjoyed in the Silken Thomas bar in Kildare town and the Castle Hotel Macroom in Co Cork.

Silken Thomas owner Brian Flanagan was “incredibly happy and proud of the win”.

Castle Hotel marketing manager Rachael Hohler said: “It’s great to receive recognition for the hard work of our team.”

Unilever Food Solutions’ Jim Reeves added “our overall winning venues really stood out”.
