Arrest after search nets €500k drugs
Items seized in house GARDAI have discovered a large haul of drugs worth almost €500,000 and ammunition in a house.
They swooped on a property in Blanchardstown, North Dublin, yesterday morning.
The raid uncovered a significant quantity of heroin, cocaine and shotgun cartridges. The substances will be sent for analysis.
The heroin is estimated to be worth €435,000, while the cocaine is valued at €54,000.
A man in his 20s, who was arrested for suspected drug trafficking, can be held for seven days.
A Garda spokesman said the raid was part of an operation targeting organised crime and the sale and supply of illegal drugs.
