Tech capital hopes get a €5m boost
Paschal Donohoe THE Government’s vision of Ireland becoming the tech capital of Europe has received a major boost.
It comes in the form of the €5million financial technology research programme Fintech.
The new project, which will be led by the ADAPT Centre for Digital Content Technology, was launched in Dublin yesterday.
Finance Minister Paschal Donohoe welcomed the initiative.
He said: “Coupled with our open economy and strong background in both technology and financial services, this will add to the opportunities already available for the creation of higher value jobs.”
