Junior Cycle funding for nine schools

THE Education Minister announced funding to support nine schools around the country yesterday.

They are participating in the initial phase of the Step Up Project which focuses on delivering the new Junior Cycle programme.

Richard Bruton said: “It will empower participating schools to move to highly-effective practice in their implementation of the Framework for Junior Cycle.

“In this way, they will impact positively on student learning and their experience will be used to support other schools.”
