HODGSON: ZAHA’S FEET TALK BEST

- BY DAVID WOODS

ROY HODGSON has told Wilfried Zaha to do his talking on the pitch.

The Crystal Palace forward had complained about a lack of protection from refs.

Boss Hodgson (with Zaha, right) said: “Wilf has a strong sense of justice, but as far as I’m concerned we put a lid on this one. He knows the best way to deal with people trying to stop you unfairly is to punish them by using your skill, beating them and scoring goals.”

Zaha was angered by a studs-up foul from Huddersfield’s Mathias Jorgensen after being caught by an Etienne Capoue challenge at Watford last month. He said in a TV interview: “I feel I’d have to get my leg broken for anyone to get a card.”
