BAD BHOYS REAL WORRY TO RODGERS

- BY IAN BAKER

CELTIC boss Brendan

Rodgers admits he is worried after his side’s shock 2-1 defeat at Kilmarnock – with rivals Rangers winning later to go above them.

It was the second loss in six games for the former Liverpool manager who now finds his side sixth.

Their Glasgow enemies took full advantage with an easy 5-1 home success over St Johnstone to move up to second on goal difference.

Leigh Griffiths put Celtic ahead on 34 minutes after a Greg Taylor error but Kilmarnock came storming back in the second half.

The hosts were level on 64 minutes thanks to a brilliant long-ranger from Chris Burke before Stuart Findlay (top) sealed victory with a header from Burke’s corner in stoppage time.

Rodgers (right) fumed: “It’s disappointing to lose a game in that way. We were reasonably comfortable at 1-0 and there wasn’t many chances.

“But to lose the game to a corner is very basic, it’s a very disappointing result for us, and it was a scrappy game.

“You need to be able to see that through and we didn’t do that today. It’s both frustrating and worrying.”

Rangers had no such problems as they brushed aside St Johnstone.

Steven Gerrard’s men were ahead on nine minutes thanks to a James Tavernier freekick before Alfredo Morelos’ individual effort made it two 11 minutes before the break.

They made it three seven minutes after half-time through Scott Arfield and

Kyle Lafferty got the fourth on 74 minutes.

St Johnstone pulled one back when Blair Alston converted a penalty after a foul by Arfield. But Rangers made it five on 79 minutes thanks to Daniel Candeias.

Hearts drew 0-0 at home with Livingston but are five points clear at the top.
