Star tells how mini-break reignited

ANNA Daly revealed her romantic trip to Spain has made her fancy husband Ben again – but ruled out having more kids.

The TV presenter and Ben Ward celebrated their 10th anniversary with a child-free getaway last month.

And while their stay was short, the mum-of-three said it felt like they were away for a fortnight due to the simplicity and freedom of the trip.

The columnist told Irish Mirror: “We went to San Sebastian just the two of us for two nights but it felt like a two-week holiday because we had no children with us.

“We were no buggies, no nappy bags and I actually bought a magazine in the airport and got to read it on the flight.

“It sounds like a simple thing but parents with children would probably get that it is quite a novelty.

“So it was lovely. I kind of fancied him again.”

The Weekend AM host revealed their anniversary made her think about how much their lives have changed over the past decade.

She said: “You get caught up with children and we have three young children that can drive you nuts you know.

“But my husband is amazing and very involved with the kids and gets stuck in, hiking up mountains and bringing them everywhere and anywhere so it is kind of important isn’t it when you don’t get out on the date night every week and so it is important to try and get away.”
