NO LIMITS TRAORE’S PLEA TO NEW BOYS

- BY JAMES NURSEY

ADAMA TRAORE has urged Wolves to have “no limits” this season.

The promoted club have adjusted well to the

Premier League with just one defeat in seven games.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have held champions Manchester City and drawn at Manchester United.

They are ninth as quality players, brought in by wealthy Chinese owners Fosun and super-agent Jorge Mendes, have thrived.

But exciting ex-barcelona winger Traore, signed from Middlesbrough for £18million in August, insists Wolves can go higher.

Traore explained: “I don’t think we should set any limits on ourselves.

“Most of the time, if you set limits, it can pull you back because if you get there, you’re comfortable.

“We are ninth and if we can get eighth, then let’s get seventh, if we can get sixth, let’s get closer to the top. Nobody is comfortable in any position.

“It’s about thinking every day, working hard and whatever is the challenge, we will work and fight for each other.

“We’re focused, we know where we are and we know where we want to go.”

Traore scored Wolves’ winner at West Ham and has been a major threat coming off the bench six times. He is now pushing to start today’s game at Crystal Palace after helping beat Southampton.

It was goalless against Saints until Traore’s 52nd-minute introduction before he helped tee up Ivan Cavaleiro to open the scoring.

The win saw Wolves fans chant “Nuno is the Special One” and Traore says Wanderers’ Portuguese coach is a huge help.

Traore added: “I think he is a fantastic manager. He speaks with me a lot one-to-one, about tactics, what I need to improve on and work on.

“He does this with everyone to get the best out of the team.

“It’s that one-to-one contact that makes him special. Most of the time, he knows what is going on in your head as well. It’s good that he understands cares about what we think.

“I am happy we’re winning and with the way things are going.”
